WHAT TASTE DO YOU LEAVE IN OTHERS' MOUTHS?
WHAT TASTE DO YOU LEAVE IN OTHERS' MOUTHS? One day an old man was admitted to a hospital. A young man was visiting him every day, feeding him food, helping him in the shower, walking him in the hospital garden, spending over a couple of hours, reassuring him. The nurse who was looking after the old man, watched this ritual and told the old man, how lucky he was to have such a caring, gracious & kind son who visits him each day. "I wish he was one of my children. This is an orphan from the neighbourhood where we live. I met him one day in the past, crying at the door of a Mosque, after his father died. I comforted him and bought candy for him. I neither saw him nor talked to him for a very long time", said the old man. When he grew up and came to discover where my wife and I were living, he used to check on us every other day. And now that I am sick, he comes to check on me every day. He is also taking care of my wife in his house. Two days back, I asked him: "My son why do you have to deal with us and care about us?" He simply smiled and said: "The taste of the candy is still in my mouth."
